New Textures Added May 2026

This collection of new images is not as paint or ink heavy as the normal texture packs, but it does include a large selection of scanned paper textures that TexturePunk was missing. There are a total of 238 new images that have never been seen previously or made available to the public. I hope you enjoy what you see and purchase lifetime access to these assets. When you buy the TexturePunk collection, you own it for life, no rental, no subscriptions, no bs. And as always, absolutely NO AI. Real assets for real designers!

Antique Paper (16 Images, 166mb)

Antique paper is exactly what it sounds like, a series of simple scans of vintage, worn paper. They can be used as an image overlay with a blending layer to give an image the feel of antique-ness. Half are simply the sheets scanned with the other half including paper overlaid on top of each other. Instead of scanning a hundred sheets of this, I left it at 16 images.

Aqua Intensity (35 Images, 409mb)

This series of images was fun to create. There is a huge range of variations, there are colors that pop, and there are fine details and texture. This series was the result of an afternoon with a pan of paper, some water marbling acrylic, and some spray paint. It took about 25 different technique attempts to get a system that consistently produced unique images. Some are heavily textured, some are subtle, but all are unique and different from each other. This is probably one of the most unique collections I’ve added to the TexturePunk site.

Black Torn Canvas (20 Images, 24mb)

I noticed that the site was missing edge-based assets. There are a few on the site already, but I felt there could be more. These were created by spray painting a white canvas and then tearing the canvas into strips. The idea was to scan the edges. These can be used as borders for images or designs. Just arrange these along the edges of your image and use a blending mode to know the white color out. The white section retains some particles and dirt to add to the process.

Color Foil (11 Images, 110mb)

Let’s be honest, this is an oddball of images. I found a small collection of this foil paper that is occasionally used in scrap-booking. It is all connected by these little webbed strands with the foil adhered to them in random patterns. This is not my favorite collection and I am not sure how I would use these, but I provide them to the TexturePunk site. I am sure someone out there will find a use for them.

Criss Cross Spray Paint (20 Images, 346mb)

Once again, I am back to black spray paint and finding new ways to use it to create complex, layered textures. This particular effect was created by spraying black paint onto a crumpled metallic party backdrop. Paper was placed on top of the painted mess and pulled off revealing the textures. Some of the images are heavy, some are lighter, but they all retain a distinct look. I have used a few of these in recent design pieces (album cover and associated graphics) and they look fantastic when used as a mask for photos.

Crushed Metallic (10 Images, 85mb)

I was at a supply store that had a ton of ribbon and products for making wreaths. I saw this unique metallic fabric and bought it wondering how I might be able to use it. I tried several things, but everything appeared uninspired. Instead, I just scanned the fabric directly. What I noticed was the level of detail inside of the fabric itself. When you zoom in, you get these weird and interesting patterns. I’ve never seen this type of complexity before in a simple fabric. So, I scanned more to make a full collection.

Dirty Dirty Dishrag (6 Images, 25mb)

This was a really dumb idea, but I think it might work. I bought some cheap dishrags from a dollar store. My initial intention was to spray paint onto the rags and then use an inverse transfer to put the paint onto the paper. However, the rags just soaked up the paint and the result was ugly. Very little paint transferred to the paper. Before I threw in the towel (pun intended), I decided, why not just scan the painted towels. And bam, that’s how this series was made. There aren’t that many images because the process wasn’t what I wanted. Instead of having it all go to waste, I salvaged it with these scans.

Drips and Drops (9 Images, 46mb)

As I often do, I use plain sheets of paper beneath a workspace to protect the surface of the table. I was working on a project that used India ink and some paints. During the process, there was a bit of drippage that occurred. This left me with a bunch of sheets of white paper with cool drips and drops on them. There are also geometric sections where I placed the wood down. I saw them and I knew I would use them all the time. I am going to expand on this collection in the future with a much larger series. Just toss the image onto of a photo, add a blending mode of your choice, and instant results.

Fancy Paper (20 Images, 105mb)

This is a collection of store-bought papers that I wanted to use for a client’s project. I scanned them in and was going to use them as a paper-base on designs. Really simple. Like a few of the other paper scans in this TexturePunk drop, it isn’t really my thing. But, I am missing basic paper textures on this website. They weren’t meant to be released, but I said, why not… just put everything out there. Someone will find a use for it.

Faux RGB Separation (7 Images, 125mb)

Sometimes you have a great idea and it goes absolutely nowhere. THIS is one of those ideas. I found this little dish-drainer thing at a dollar store with a rounded rectangle pattern. They reminded me of the pixels of a television set. That made me think of RGB colors. And that led me to RGB separations. Using Montana Black primary red, green, and blue spray paints, I sprayed the pattern and slightly off-set the drainer for each color. And then this happened. I have no idea how I would use these, but I’m sure someone could find a way.

Generic Cardboard (24 Images, 191 mb)

I called this series generic cardboard because this IS as generic as it can get. This is a series of 24 scans of a very subtle cardboard texture. Unlike all my loud, in-your-face textures, this is the exact opposite. This is here to add the most gentle, organic, and paper-like texture to your projects. That’s all it is, and that’s all it’s meant to be. Sometimes you just need something very subtle.

Gold Fabric (6 Images, 67mb)

I didn’t think I was going to release the gold fabric collection as I personally don’t like it much. But what I think and what others think often clash. I was like, it is only 6 images, it won’t taint the entire TexturePunk site. It was sitting on the hard drive and I was like, just put it out there. What’s the worst that can happen. Enjoy, if you can.

Grunge Square Edges (6 Images, 32mb)

I was playing with an ink pad and a little foam block. I noticed how the edges had a little extra oomph to them. I started layering them over and over and it gave me the impression of a weird little ink cityscape. I was like, this is awesome. But then I had an errand to run, put it off to the side and forgot about it. I was only 6 images in. So, that’s what you get. 6 little edge images.

Ink Go Woosh (12 Images, 39mb)

Ink plus a little rubber cake mixer. I put a little Tim Holtz ink on the edge of the rubber mixer and just swiped it across the page. The ink was absorbed into the paper well and created some brightness variations. I can see using these to add text inside the brush stroke. I can also see converting these into a Photoshop brush and using them as an eraser tool. Lots of possibilities and options. They seem quite versatile.

Laser Toner Failure (20 Images, 78mb)

This is the result of me not paying attention to my laser printer. I was printing out copies of my first Plastic Citizen Experience Zine AND, the toner ran out. The printer just kept pushing out page after page with minimal printing. I was like, shucks darnit. But as I looked at some of the pages, they were simple enough to scan. They didn’t have large amounts of text, some were mainly image based, and others were just cool blobs of toner. So, I scanned a bunch and this is the result. I will be releasing the zine to the public here and on my Plastic Citizen website for a donation (or free if you wanted it).

One-Offs (16 Images, 295mb)

Very often, I have a collection of tests, experiments, trials, etc… that I may have only one or two copies of. It’s not enough to fill an entire pack, so I make many of them available as one-offs. These are available as individual downloads instead of as a pack. They can range from paint to ink to unexpected experiments to whatever. If I find it interesting enough to scan, I’ll toss it in the one-off section.
